Gender Crash is a spoken word event held 2nd Thursday every month in Jamaica Plain at 7:30p, doors open at 7:15pm.

Subway Directions

From the MBTA
Take the Orange line to Stony Brook stop
take right out of the station on to Boylston St
Cross street at light follow up Boylston St
Take first right on to Danforth St- (just past Foersters Liquors)
Spontaneous Celebrations is large yellow building on the left, come up front stairs!

Driving Directions from Mass Ave.

Take Mass ave to Tremont St. (from Cambridge, take right on to Tremont, from rte 93 take left onto Tremont St.)
Follow Tremont down approx 7 sets of lights (past Boston Police Station)
Take right on to Center St.
go to 2nd light and take left on to Lamartine St.
Follow to first light, and take right onto Boylston St.
Take first right on to Danforth St- There is a parking lot next to the building.
Spontaneous Celebrations is large yellow building on the left, come up front stairs!

About the Space...

The event is on the first floor and the bathrooms are on first floor and trans friendly (meaning we don't care which multi-stall bathroom you use).

No alcohol, no smoking is allowed inside.

There is a soda/pastry bar, product varies month to month, all proceeds are donated to The Network/La Red: Ending abuse in lesbian, bisexual women's and transgender communities and it is run by the Boston Avengers. If you are interested in donating items for the soda/pastry bar please email info@thenetworklared.org.

No photography, video, or audio taping is allowed with out written permission from event staff 24 hours prior to the event. All press must identify themselves to event staff. E-mail gendercrash for more information.

We ask that people come "scent free", please refrain from wearing perfume/cologne because many are allergic to scents. We ask that all smokers do not smoke on the stairs at the entrance of the building.

The non stairs entrance is to the left of the building up the driveway.
