Gender Crash Open mic

with Feature: Mylène St Pierre
She has been writing and reading her own smut for over 10 years now. She likes to put her degree in Sexology to good use by writing very dirty stories. She recently moved to Boston via MOntréal to be with her fiancée where they live out their deviant filthy fantasies in suburbia. Mylène's feature will be closing the show.

This is a Benefit for Judah and Laverne
with performances from friends

About 2-weeks ago there was a massive fire in a Framingham housing complex that resulted in more than 100 people becoming homeless, including two amazing LGBT activists - Judah Dorrington and Laverne Saunders. So this month, half of the proceeds of the door are going to be donated to Judah and Laverne.

For more than 20 years Judah and Laverne have contributed to the development and growth of the Boston LGBT, arts, drug rehab, anti-racist and youth communities. Some of you know Judah as the music director of Drag Kings, Sluts, and Goddesses; others may have benefited from Laverne's great facilitation. They do also do tremendous work as independent consultants for non-profits and government agencies in the Boston area as well as across the country. These are but a few of the wondeful ways that they have contributed to our communities.

They now need our help. It is unclear when Judah and Laverne will be able to return to their home to assess the damage to their possessions including Judah's musical equipment, their computers/paper files, clothes, furniture, personal supplies and such. Until they return to their home, their consultancy work is severely disrupted and they have, to a large degree, lost their source of income. Let's support two important people from our community at Gender Crash this month.

Bring your Poetry, Spoken Word, Slam Style Poems, Essays, Acoustic Music, Performance, Singing, Drag, and Dance are all welcome. Where you can be a Rock Star! for at least 3 minutes!

Doors open at 7p show at 7:30pm Spontaneous Celebrations, 45 Danforth St, Jamaica Plain, Orange line, Stonybrook stop, all ages, $5 - 10 at the door, open to everyone, more info? gendercrash
